I am a scholar specializing in modern and contemporary poetry and poetics in English. I hold a PhD in English from the University of Cambridge (2013). My current book manuscript, The Difficult Style: A Study of the Poetry of J.H. Prynne introduces the poems and poetics of Prynne from 1961 to 2011. I am also editing The Collected Correspondence of Charles Olson and J.H. Prynne (forthcoming from University of New Mexico Press). Jonathan Culler and I recently edited a special issue on “lyric address” for Thinking Verse.
I am also a poet. My most recent publication is a scarce red pamphlet, Story One, which accompanied a gallery collaboration with Jacqueline Arias at Heliopolis in Greenpoint (NYC) called “Former Islands.” Contact me for a copy. Less recently, Justin Katko’s Critical Documents published a large, bright pamphlet, Remote Carbon; and Keston Sutherland and Andrea Brady’s Barque Press published Shouts from OK Glamour.
